🇬🇧 Guided Mine Tour (in English)
Getting to Falun Mine
Falun Mine is within walking distance of central Falun. On your way here, you will pass through Elsborg, the old miner's district with Falu-red cottages, which is also part of the Falun World Heritage Site.If you choose to come by car, there is a large car park adjacent to the site. From June 1st to August 31th the parking fee is 20 SEK. During the rest of the year the parking is free.

Guided mine tour
Before joining the guided mine tour, there are a few important things to note:
You will meet the guide at the Mining Area by the bell tower (please ask our staff at the Visitor Centre if you have difficulty finding it).
The tour lasts one hour, and you must be able to climb stairs to take part.
There are approximately 400 steps and a total walking distance of 600 metres.
The temperature in the mine is around six degrees Celsius, and it can be quite wet and muddy. Please wear sturdy shoes and a warm jumper.

Entrance to the Mine Museum
The Mine Museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm. If you are visiting during these hours, admission to the museum is included in your ticket.
